MAKING SUSTAINABILITY OUR CORE

Sapana Carpet-Mats’ green & environment-friendly philosophy encompasses the current need for a cleaner and better tomorrow. Since the beginning, we as an organisation have been acutely aware of our responsibilities to nature and our planet, and have acted in accordance with our corporate ethos.

Several measures have been adopted by us to minimise ecological damage and protect the environment:

1. Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified products.

2. SMETA/BSCI audited plants.

3. Products are made using Solar energy and to date, we have effectively saved 30,893 trees.

4. OEKO-TEX certified.

Zero Waste

Following a zero waste generation policy, all the waste from our manufacturing plants is recycled and converted to granules. These granules are then used in the manufacturing process itself, to produce new Chatai-mats. Over 30,000 kgs of plastic scrap are recycled per month.

Water Conservation

By filtering the water used for the quenching baths of the extruders, water-changing has been brought down to just once a year.

Energy Efficiency

Extrusion machines convert granules to liquid that need high-intensity energy. By insulating the heating zones of the extruders, we substantially minimise the heat dissipation & reduce energy consumption. Over the past year, we have installed lighting solutions which save electricity, enough to power 120 households on an ongoing basis.

Packaging

We do not use any tree-damaging cartons. Instead, we employ flexible & reusable HDPE bags to package our final product.

TRIVIA

1. We recycle 30,000 kgs of plastic scrap every month. This saves a landfill space of approximately 2664 cubic yards.

2. Our products are made using Solar energy and to date, we have effectively saved 30,893 trees

3. We have installed light-enhancing and heat-reducing ventilators at our plants. These help us save electricity enough to power 200 tube lights for six months in a year.

4. We produce 4 Million mats every year in different sizes for the diverse needs of our customers. 

5. So far, we have sold more than 60 million mats.

STRENGTHENING OUR BRAND VALUES THROUGH CSR ACTIVITIES

We are proud supporters of Navjeevan Society, Aurangabad which helps specially-abled people. As part of this initiative, Sapana employs a select group of people from the Navjeevan Society. The products made are then mailed through our outlets in Aurangabad. These skilful people are introduced to an excellent platform that contributes to and assimilates them into mainstream society. Sapana Carpet-Mats gets this wonderful opportunity to pay back its due to society. We also work with Lotus Petal Foundation, Gurugram which works in the area of providing education to children of economically backward backgrounds.
